Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner at Providence St. Joseph Health
An experienced NP clinician in gastroenterology in the ambulatory setting. Currently functioning in full-time capacity caring for adult patients in a general gastroenterology practice for a multi-specialty organization with disorders ranging from Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, functional bowel disorders, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis or MASH. Patient care goals includes empowering patients to optimize health through lifestyle changes. Additional competencies and role in informatics, revenue cycle, IS and IT processes as a provider liaison. Enhanced and maximized educational and training methodologies for multi specialty providers. An AHIMA certified trainer in ICD-10 CM/PCS provides education and training for multi-regional/multi-specialty providers. Previous role of liaison between Heritage Revenue Cycle functions and Heritage physicians/nurse practitioners and physician assistants offers rich opportunities to educate, coach and support coding and revenue cycle issues and initiatives.
