Thanks, Steve for catching the glitch in the Word Document. I "think" I fixed it and attached a new version. Also, I pasted the text below.

A NAPA member also suggested that you can use Share Your Opinion with Your Legislators to show your support and add comments. Go to https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/Opinions/81st2021/ and select SB335-->Amended 4/19/2021-->In Favor and leave any comments and SB184-->Amended 4/19/2021-->In Favor and leave any comments to provide your opinion of each of these bills.

HELP SUPPORT SENATE BILL 335

Dear Senator _____________________,

I would first like to thank you for your hard work this legislative session. The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a strain on the legislative process and I understand how difficult things can be right now. As one of your constituents and a practicing Physician Assistant (PA), I would like to bring an issue to your attention.

Unlike physicians and nurses, PAs are regulated by boards without members who actively work in our profession. This means the medical boards that regulate the PA practice may lack knowledge of how rules and regulations may affect our profession. This dearth of insight can lead to unnecessary restrictions and administrative burdens for PAs, physicians, and employers—a dilemma that will only increase healthcare costs and lower accessibility.

PAs deserve what physicians and nurses already have, regulatory boards with current knowledge about their profession. States can determine whether this is best accomplished by creating separate PA boards or by adding PAs to existing medical or healing arts boards. Currently, 8 states have separate PA regulatory boards, and 20 states include PAs as voting members on their regulatory boards.

Nevada's neighboring states, such as California, Arizona, and Utah, all have separate PA Boards. Oregon and Idaho both added a PA seat to the medical board. Expanding more broadly into the Western region, PAs also sit on the regulatory boards in Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, and Washington, and Texas has a separate PA board.

I am asking you to help support Senate Bill 335, which is currently in the Senate Committee on Finance. As a PA practicing in Nevada, I seek your support to ensure Physician Assistants have a seat at the table that regulates our practice in Nevada.

Thank you,
